What ARE they saying about you?

What do people REALLY think about you? What ARE they saying about you?

How do people describe you to their friends?

What do they think of your work?

How would they describe you to your colleagues? Or to prospective customers?

How would you ever find out?

It’s not easy to get true, honest feedback. People often feel bad about criticizing – so they don’t tell you the truth to your face – in case you get angry or defensive. Think of when you have been asked in a restaurant: “How is your meal?” and you have said “Fine, Thank you” rather than admit the food was cold, too salty or badly cooked. You deny them the chance to learn from their mistakes and do better. And you never go back…

I recently asked for a testimonial from a client. I wanted something to put on my website. So other people could get a taste of what it is like to work with me. Even though I have known him for nearly two years, I was still a little nervous. I had asked for his honest feedback after all…

And what I received today was a real eye-opener.

Vanessa does not hold back when you need to hear the truth, and nothing but the truth.
Vanessa’s words are a painting of her thoughts that helps you see things crystal clear.
Vanessa helps you change how you see so you see how you change.
Vanessa helps you to get rid of the excess ballast that makes you rise again.
Vanessa’s unattachment to material things makes you think about yours.
Vanessa’s motherly energy warms your soul. At no point the mothering gets smothering.
And last but not least, Vanessa is your unconditional fan because just admit it, you love having one too!

WOW! I was speechless. (And that does not happen often!).

Do you have the courage to give honest feedback when it is asked for? Do you ask for the truth from others around you?

If not, why not?

Thank you, Hugo. It has been a pleasure to work with you. I value your professionalism, your open-mind and your open-heart. I value your enthusiasm and your sense of humour. I value your intelligence, your creativity and your passion to help others. I wish you all the very best in your business.
