Happy Sunny Christmas…

Santa on the beach

Are you facing a Christmas or New Year alone this year? Do you want to do something completely different? Perhaps you want to come to Crete?

This is the first year that I will have a Christmas in Crete. Some of the differences I have already noticed in December…

  1. Much less commercialism
  2. Christmas Carols playing in the Square but not inside any shops
  3. Only a few, tasteful decorations in public areas
  4. Sunny days
  5. Bright blue skies
  6. Snow – but only on the mountain tops
  7. Surfers on the beach
  8. Weather around 19 degrees C.
  9. Quiet streets

Christmas Day will probably be a quiet day at home, snoozing with Molly Moo after a long walk to the nearby, sandy Almyros Beach. I spotted some surfers there last week when the wind picked up, but today the water was smooth and calm. And it was warm enough that I did not need my fleece jacket.

My decorations this year are very simple. Just one tangled branch found on a walk. It is now decorated with some tiny, white fairy lights… with a couple of candles nearby. It looks great.

My intention for this holiday period is to take the time to rest, relax and reflect on my life now. To celebrate all the good that is in my life today. To feel gratitude for all the things that are going well. And to increase my energetic vibration to match the intentions and desires which I have for the future.

Very quiet. Very relaxed. Very simple.

Are you facing a Christmas alone this year? Do you want to do something completely different?

It is not too late to join Molly Moo and me for Christmas or New Year…
