Did you know that Coca-Cola produce an estimated 110 BILLION single-use plastic bottles a year? And billions of these end up on beaches and in the ocean?
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Coca-Cola produce an estimated 110 BILLION single-use plastic bottles a year – and billions of these end up on beaches and in the ocean. I cannot even imagine what 110 BILLION bottles looks like but it is a truly staggering amount…
Plastic can be mistaken for food by marine life ranging from giant whales to tiny microplankton.
Up to 90 percent of seabirds have plastic in their stomachs.
Our oceans can’t stomach any more plastic – companies like Coke must take action to reduce the amount of bottles they’re creating. They need to phase out single-use bottles and find environmentally friendly alternatives fast.

And maybe you might consider NOT buying any drinks in plastic bottles over the Festive season… or ever again?
As I write this, on 7 December 2017, 229,664 people have shown they care and signed. You can help to reach 250,000, so our voices can be heard… and we can start to heal our oceans…
